How to determine the size of your drawer
Grab a tape measure and head to the garage! You’ll want to measure and record the following inside dimensions of your box or cabinet’s drawers.
Width: Measure the drawer's inside width from left to right when facing the front of the drawer.
Depth: Measure the inside depth of the drawer from front to back.
Drawer Height: Measure the vertical space inside the drawer by measuring the height from the drawer bottom to the bottom of the drawer above.
Foam Thickness: Most foam inserts are 1.25" in thickness, regardless of drawer height. Use thicker foam for drawers with power tools, hammers, or upright impact sockets.
Please note any drawer construction on your box such as folded sheet metal edges or recesses under the handle that may affect installation of your foam and adjust accordingly.
Depth: Measure the inside depth of the drawer from front to back.
Drawer Height: Measure the vertical space inside the drawer by measuring the height from the drawer bottom to the bottom of the drawer above.
